About the Images
Inviting Presence LogoThis logo was created using and inspired by Lynell Harlow's cypress and lilly of the valley stencils.
The image of the tree is the central figure in the logo. Trees represent life, pure air (oxygen), stability, strength and perseverance. This tree, in particular, I believe to be a cypress--the kind of trees along the Monterrey Coast in California. They have incredible endurance to withstand the coastal winds and are evergreens. Cypress trees can also symbolize mourning, a healthy component of any change or transformation. Lily of the valley has been called the "return of happiness" and blessings of love. It is a flower of humility and sweetness. The lily, with its small bells, is like a bell of awareness reminding me that I am and you are beautiful just as we are. The circle holds everything together in a whole, sacred space with the full moon representing the restorative quality of natural cycles. |
Passion fruit FlowerPassion fruit flowers remind me to act from my center and follow my aliveness.
This flower has different meanings in different countries/regions. I see it as a gorgeous display of being different from the norm--I mean have you ever seen such a flower?! It has multiple layers of complexity. The tendrils are powerful and seem to be able to climb anything. The fruit is juicy and restorative. Plus, passion fruit grew right outside my dormitory in India and along residences of the Berkeley hills, US. |
